PCS Mobile Application Desktop/Browser Client

The POverview

The CoreNexa Desktop Client is an application that must be downloaded and installed on your personal computer.

Requirements

NOTE: You must have Administrative rights to install the CoreNexa Desktop Application.

If you do not have Administrative rights to install software on your computer, you can join with the Corenexa Browser Client by entering the Meeting ID, your name, and an optionally provided PIN at https://meet.corenexa.com

Supported Operating Systems

The CoreNexa desktop client runs on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OSx version 10.9 or later
  • Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Most 64 bit Linux distributions (Ubuntu 12.04 and later, RHEL/CentOS/Oracle 6.4 and later, Fedora 21 or higher, etc.)

System Requirements

Processor (CPU)

  • Minimum: Dual core, 2 GHz (preferred or higher)

Memory (RAM)

  • Minimum: 4 GB or higher

Hardware

  • An internet connection – broadband wired (preferred) or wireless (4G/LTE)
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in, USB plug-in, or Bluetooth
  • A webcam – built-in or USB plug-in

Installing

Step 1

Open a web browser and go to https://meet.corenexa.com

Step 2

Click on Download in the upper right of the page as seen below:

Step 3

Your operating system will be automatically detected and highlighted as the best download option.

Click on the download button as seen below:

Step 4

Locate the downloaded application in your browser. Double click on the downloaded application to begin installation.

Step 5

Install the application as you would for any other application. The Mac, Windows and Linux experience are each a little different. When prompted to enter an Administrator password, enter the User and Password for a user that has Administrative rights on the PC.

Windows Silent Installation Options

CoreNexa utilizes Install4J as an installer. A -q can be used on the CoreNexa installation executable as in the following example:

corenexa-windows-64bits-5-00-6004.exe -q -dir “C:Program FilesCoreNexa”

Look for Unattended Mode.

Guests joining a Meeting

Note: If you have been provided with an application launcher link for the meeting, click on that link and follow the instructions from Step 3 below.

Note: It is easiest to plug in any external devices like a camera, microphone and speakers before starting the application.

Step 1

Locate and run the installed application.

  • On a Mac look in Applications for CoreNexa.
  • On a Windows PC you’ll find the application in your Start Menu.

The operating system may prompt that CoreNexa is an application downloaded from the internet and ask if you are sure you want to open it. It is Ok to open the application.

Step 2

For Guest users, click on Join a Meeting on the screen shown below:

If you have been provided a User ID and Password, click on Sign in.

Step 3

Enter the provided Meeting ID and your Name in their respective fields. Enter the PIN also if it was provided.

Step 4

Click the Join Meeting button to join.

Meeting Control Bar

The Meeting Control Bar is located at the bottom of the application window. The following image shows what the controls are (moving your mouse over them will also reveal a tool tip with the control name):

If you need to adjust your Microphone, Camera or Speakers, click on More Actions (the 3 dots).
