System requirements for PCS Desktop Client

See below for the requirements for using the various CoreNexa client applications.

System requirements

  • An internet connection – broadband wired (preferred) or wireless (4G/LTE)
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in, USB plug-in, or Bluetooth
  • A webcam – built-in, USB plug-in

Supported operating systems

The CoreNexa desktop client runs on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OSx version 10.9 or later
  • Windows 10 or later
  • Most 64 bit Linux distributions (Ubuntu 12.04 and later, RHEL/CentOS/Oracle 6.4 and later, Fedora 21 or higher, etc.)

Processor and RAM requirements

Processor (CPU)

  • Minimum: Single core, 2 GHz
  • Recommended: Dual core, 2 GHz or higher

Memory (RAM)

  • Minimum: 4 GB
  • Recommended: 4 GB or higher

Notes

  • For optimum video and screen-sharing performance, we recommend a quad-core processor or higher.
  • Requires a graphics card that can support OpenGL 2.0 or higher.

Mac Permissions

In Security and Privacy ensure that CoreNexa has the following permissions in Privacy:

  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Accessibility
  • Input Monitoring
  • Full Disk Access
  • Files and Folders
  • Screen Recording

Mac Avira AntiVirus

If the user does a deep Avira Virus scan on their MacOS PC, the user might see this:

If this happens, try to un-quarantine the item and start CoreNexa desktop client again. If the desktop application still will not work, please do as follows:

  1. Exit from the desktop client
  2. Uninstall the CoreNexa desktop client
  3. Remove the following folder:  /Users//.corenexa folder where is your login {*}
  4. Install the CoreNexa desktop client again (download available at https://meet.corenexa.com)
  5. Start the CoreNexa desktop client.

This should resolve the issue.
